Cat Napping
Recently I sent a client an email concerning weight loss for her cat. I absolutely love and adore this cat. The client has done everything right to help the cat lose weight per her veterinarian’s instructions. She feeds the kibble diet that was recommended and she only gives the amount of food recommended twice a day. She is given no treats. I know this because when we care for this wonderful cat we follow the client’s routine. But her cat isn’t losing weight! I sought the help of Dr. Karen Becker and was given two articles that I shared with the client. The first article is entitled “Weight Loss for Fat Cats” and the second article “Fun Pet Exercise for Cats and Dogs” . Today the issue of overweight cats has become a huge problem. I ask the question “why” is this? It is my belief one of the reason is we are feeding cats the wrong food and their bodies do not metabolize the food properly. The second reason is cats are not given the opportunity to play. Cats do sleep a lot (catnaps) but they also need to be active. I hope these two articles will help you in caring for your cat(s).
