October is one of my favorite months. The weather gets cooler, football is in full swing, and it is adopt a shelter dog month!
So many municipal shelters are overflowing with amazing dogs. They are there through no fault of their own. All they need is a caring family and a permanent home!
Zip (pictured) was recently rescued by Tawana Couch of Operation Transport here in Dallas. There a so many dogs just waiting for a chance to prove themselves!
If you can’t bring a new dog into your life, October is a great month to honor our canine friends. You can volunteer at a shelter, make a donation, or give a treat to your favorite shelter buddy.
When you are ready to add a dog to your life, adopt! There are plenty of great dogs available at your local shelter.
